How long have you been in business?

Since 1982, Unique Video Creations has been providing quality video services for customers in the Tallahassee, FL and big bend area. We have covered a variety of special events with weddings being our specialty. Currently we have videographed over 330 weddings to date.

Our main goal is to capture your special day in a way that you and your spouse will cherish for a lifetime and be able to pass on to future generations. The heart of our business is our client's satisfaction.

How do we obtain your services for our wedding?

If you have any questions, comments, or would like to view a sample tape, please call us at 850-877-9010. You can also email us at wedding@uniquevideocreations.com.

Why should I have my wedding professionally videotaped?

A professionally made videotape can capture all the sights and sounds of your wedding day, an event which has become one of the major social events in a person’s life. What better opportunity to capture all of your family and friends and create a classic heirloom to be cherished for years to come? We have had many couples telling us that having our videotape was better than their pictures of their wedding day.

Can’t a friend or family member videotape my wedding?

Certainly, but don’t expect professional results. Unique Video Creations has been taping weddings since 1982, and we know all the ins and outs of capturing such an important event. We have digital cameras, computer-based digital non-linear editing equipment, microphones, tripods, and plenty of backup equipment to create a believable television production. We have no problem with other guests videotaping as long as they do not interfere with our efforts.

Won’t the cameramen be obtrusive and disruptive?

We make every effort to record your wedding unobtrusively and tastefully, using no lights at the ceremony, remaining stationary and silent throughout. The kindest compliment anyone ever gave us was "I never even saw you all day".

Will my photographer and a videographer work together?

Wedding videography is relatively new, only coming into its own in the past ten years. Wedding photography, on the other hand, has been around for almost 1 ½ centuries! Generally, photographers and videographers get along just fine.

You should be aware that there are still some photographers that resent the rapid onslaught video has made on the market. Remember: your photographer and videographer are working for you on your wedding day, so be sure to let all of your vendors know exactly what level of cooperation you expect. Your wedding day is not the time for a clash of artistic egos.

Should I sign a contract?

A contract protects both you and the videographer, and should be comprehensive and clear. Don’t hire any professional with merely a verbal agreement.

What if my church has restrictions on video?

It is the client’s responsibility to find out if there are any restrictions on photography and videography wherever the event takes place and to notify the vendor(s) well in advance. Many churches and synagogues have guidelines, such as no flash photography and no moving around during the ceremony, and understandably so. The place of worship is not a television studio.

We strive to place a camera in a position which affords us a clear view of your faces during the ceremony. This is not always possible because some churches restrict all  videotaping to the balcony only. Be sure to find out what is allowed before you contract with a videographer or a photographer.

When will I get my finished videotapes?

All tapes will be delivered within 60 days from the date of the wedding provided all pictures, list of names of the wedding party, and other materials are provided before the wedding or on the wedding date, otherwise we find that if you wait until after the event to get these materials to us it results in unnecessary delays.

Can you provide me a sample tape?

Your satisfaction is very important. This is something we take pride in. Out of over 300 weddings, there has been only one person who complained about their wedding tape.

We can provide you with a sample tape and suggest that you watch it and then decide on whether to book your wedding date. Keep in the mind that videography of weddings depends on many different factors: people, environment, organization, and dealing with electronics. Simply put, we will do what it takes for you to be satisfied.

What is your required deposit?

A deposit of $200 will reserve your wedding date. Dates are not booked unless a deposit is received. 50% of the remaining balance is due on rehearsal day. The remaining balance is due upon delivery of the finished tapes. 50% of the deposit is refundable 30 days before the wedding if you decide to cancel your plans. Your deposit is nonrefundable for any other reason. Full payment of any package allows you to receive one CD-ROM per each set of tapes.
